Cocopeat (Galuku Coir) is an excellent medium for use as a mushroom casing. It can be used by itself or in a blend with a good source of frozen black peat.
Extensive trials are being conducted in Sri Lanka using Cocopeat (Galuku Coir) as a mushroom casing. These trial results will be made available here as soon as practicable.
Trials to-date using Cocopeat (Galuku Coir) and Black peat have repeatedly shown increased yields, and brighter and firmer mushrooms.
HOW TO USE COCOPEAT IN MUSHROOM CASING
Use a blend of 70% Cocopeat (Galuku Coir) and 30% Sri Lankan Black peat.
